Haymer, Joynell

Hello, my name is Joynell Haymer, and I am proud to serve as the Gifted and Library Teacher at Linwood Elementary School. I am an alumnus of the Yazoo County School District, and my educational journey led me to Jackson State University, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work. After working in the social work field, I felt called to transition into education, where I could continue supporting children in a meaningful and impactful way.

My background helps me connect with students, understand their individual needs, and foster a positive, welcoming learning environment. I enjoy designing creative and engaging lessons that inspire students to think, explore, and grow. My strengths include dedication, humility, creativity, and teamwork.

Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends, decorating, and traveling. I am grateful to be a part of the Linwood Elementary family and look forward to continuing to support and encourage our students every day.
